RESTORE AND MAINTAIN YOUR OPTIMAL LEVEL OF HEALTH THE NATURAL AND COMFORTABLE WAY
Injae Choe, PhD LMT, is a licensed massage therapist and a nationally certified therapist of massage and bodywork (NCTMB) with 20+ years of experience specializing in the eastern holistic style of acupressure called Sugi (“hand energy”) Acupressure. It is a healing practice and art form that he learned since childhood directly from his father, a world-renowned eastern medical doctor. Injae’s mission is to help people restore and maintain their optimal level of health the natural, comfortable way.
Injae’s studies were originally concentrated in the natural sciences at Eton (prep school in England) before he obtained other advanced degrees in the US (from UC Berkeley, Columbia and the New School for Social Research). For bodywork, he received diplomas and certificates from the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA, the Texas Massage Institute in Dallas, TX, and the New York College of Health Professions in Syosset, NY.
Besides common musculoskeletal issues, Injae often treats challenging chronic conditions that elude effective cure from a western allopathic approach. His versatile style of treatment ranges from resembling sports medicine to providing palliative care for the critically ill. Holder also of a Ph.D. in psychology, Injae tackles the root causes of various psychosomatic ailments, such as back pains associated with depression and anxiety-triggered sleep disturbances. His clients are people of both genders and of all ages who come for either specific one-time fixes or regular maintenance; among them are professionals from different fields, celebrities, referrals from MDs, or friends and family members of existing clients.
Each Sugi therapeutic session lasts 40 minutes (longer sessions also available) with the client lying on a floor futon and wearing light clothing. It is generally a full-body treatment from head to toe and covers both the front and back of the body, consistent with Sugi’s holistic approach to helping you attain an overall sense of balance and well-being.
